We Built What We Couldn't Find
Every rabbit owner knows the moment.
You've finished cleaning the litter box — again. You've scooped, sorted, and tossed. And somewhere in the back of your mind, a question surfaces:
There has to be a better way.
For us, that moment came with Lavie.
When our bunny joined our home in Singapore, we did what devoted rabbit parents do, we researched everything. That's when we stumbled onto something that changed the way we thought about rabbit care: rabbit droppings are rich, natural fertiliser. Not waste. Not a problem. A resource.
So for two years, we filtered poo from the litter by hand. Every single day.
Until the cleaning became a chore. And the chore became a challenge. And the challenge became an obsession.
The Idea That Rolled In During a Math Lesson
In 2022, inspiration struck at the least expected moment, mid-math lesson.
What if a litter box could separate rabbit urine and droppings automatically?
That one question sent our founder D down a months-long rabbit hole (pun intended) of sketches, angles, prototypes, and failures. The goal was simple but had never been done properly: design a litter box that lets dry droppings roll away from urine, keeping poo clean, dry, and reusable, while litter stays fresher, longer.
It wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built on the floor of a bunny room.
From Bunny Room to Singapore Startup
Lavieloo was selected for the Republic Polytechnic Entrepreneurship Incubation Programme in Singapore, where the idea became a real business — with manufacturing partnerships, stainless steel sourcing, and global shipping logistics.
Our first batch sold out.
Today, Lavieloo ships worldwide, serving rabbit owners across Singapore, Southeast Asia, and beyond and we're just getting started.
Why We Built It This Way
We searched the market before we built. What we found was plastic tubs, cat trays rebranded for rabbits, and generic designs that treated rabbit care as an afterthought.
Nothing separated pee and poo properly. Nothing was designed specifically for free-roam rabbits living in modern homes. Nothing made sustainable rabbit care actually easy.
So we built Lavieloo with five things in mind:

We're four people who love animals, hate unnecessary waste, and believe rabbit care deserves better. We wear many hats and clean many litter boxes.
🐰 D: Founder & Product Innovator
A lifelong animal lover and problem-solver, D is the vision behind Lavieloo's design. The idea struck him during a math lesson, proof that inspiration rolls in when you least expect it. From sketching angles to prototyping parts, D has been hands-on in every phase of development. His favourite thing about Lavieloo? "Jiggle and wiggle. Watching the poo roll down the mesh. It never gets old."

Zul keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. With a background in the sciences and experience managing large teams, he brings the structure and focus that turns a bunny-room idea into a scalable brand. As a proud guinea pig parent, Zul also sees the bigger picture, a future where Lavieloo serves small pet owners beyond rabbits. Music educator by training. Animal lover by nature. Michelle's parents run a pet grooming service, so animals have always been part of her world.
